You know the deal – I post here an early review for Weeds, before the episode aired on Showtime. If you hate spoilers – come back after Monday night.

Weeds, triple Cats episode - family double trouble

I told Silas he shouldn’t believe what he sees. It was too obvious that the girl is not into him, the way she looked around the offices, the way she sat in front of him when they had their lunch – but Silas is not smart enough yet, and like his mother he has the habit of getting into troubles. So the romance was gone, and with it Silas’ new business. And although this is not the end, and once mama Nancy will hear about it there will be a rescue plan – this might be the eye-opener for Silas. This is not his area.

Shane also didn’t have much luck trying to help the family by playing the insider in the police station. And maybe the punishment won’t be too strong, but he may still reach the same understanding as his brother – they don’t have what it takes to follow their mother’s criminal ways.

Nancy gets in and out of trouble every episode, and usually what saves her it’s her way to manipulate. Silas and Shane don’t have even that. Andy is not even trying – and only Doug may prove to have some surprising abilities (even Nancy was impressed in this episode by his monologue which saved them both).

With just four more episodes in the season, we’re in the point-of-no-return area, with lots of bad shit that should lead us eventually to some major plot twists. But will we also see character change at the finale of Weeds? Will Shane and Silas give up the dirty game? And what would be Nancy’s choice at the end of the road?
