'Community' made of clay...an animated Xmas
UPDATE: read my review on Community Christmas Animation episode.
Something very special is about to happen this Christmas for the boys and girls of Community. It starts with a Stop and ends in Motion, it’s an all-animated stopmotion special episode for the holidays!
Here are all the Community characters animated:
Animated Jeff:
Stuck in a box? The Jeff-in-a-box should be quite chalenging to work with. Harmon said it reflects Jeff’s ego, and I wonder how the writers used the box in this episode.
Animated Annie:
Graceful and thin or merely as fragile as a clay doll? What will break Annie’s clay version in Community Christmas episode?
Animated Abed:
Could Abed have an emotional Christmas? Or will he remain this generation’s Charlie Brown forever?
Animated Pierce:
Abed sees Pierce as a soft Teddy Bear. Will this bear become aggressive on the holiday?
Animated Britta:
Abed sees Britta as an unfunctional Robot, a damaged gadget. Could she be fixed before New Year’s?
Animated Shirley:
Abed thinks Shirley is like a child. But they say children see the truth. What will Shirley see this Christmas?
Animated Troy:
Abed sees Troy as a soldier. Will Community give Troy his holiday vacation?
Animated Dean:
The Dean stays The Dean.
Animated Duncan:
Harmon explains: ‘He puts the study group under hypnosis to figure out Abed’s holiday behavior’. Hypnosis for Community sounds like a very deep Pandora Box.
Snow Chang:
Harmon says: ‘”He’s a Snow Chang,” Harmon reveals. “An obnoxious little snowman. He make a brief appearance that everybody finds quite disturbing’.
